Insurance premiums often get the most attention, but they are only one piece of an organization's overall cost of risk. The bigger picture can also include retained losses, claims costs, administrative expenses, and the impact risk has on day-to-day operations.
Join MJ for a practical discussion on how a Total Cost of Risk (TCOR) approach can help organizations better understand these costs and make more informed decisions about their insurance programs.
We'll explore how organizations can look beyond premium alone and evaluate the balance between risk retention and risk transfer. Attendees will learn how large deductible programs work, the tradeoffs between lower insurance premiums and retained claim costs, and how to determine the approach that best aligns with their organization's goals, financial objectives, and risk strategy.
Topics include:
- Understanding Total Cost of Risk (TCOR) and why premium is only one piece of the equation
- How large deductible programs differ from guaranteed cost programs
- Evaluating the tradeoffs between retained losses and insurance premiums
- Identifying the program structure that best fits your organization's needs
- The role of claims management and loss performance in reducing overall costs
- Using data and insights to support smarter risk financing decisions
Designed for risk, finance, and business leaders, this webinar will provide practical guidance for evaluating insurance program options and better understanding the true cost of risk.
